I was a patient at the Milwaukee Rehabilitation Hospital for in patient therapy after a concussion that brought on my functional neurological disorder. I was there about a week after they opened, and the care was awesome. The physical, occupational, and speech therapists I worked with were exceptional. Maddie my physical therapist pushed me hard, but she was awesome to work with. She made the hard work fun with her great personality and style. Nicole my occupational therapist was just as awesome. Keeping the sessions challenging but again having a great attitude and keeping them from feeling like therapy. Laura my speech therapist helped me get through my concussion related issues by challenging my brain to get back to normal functioning, with interesting exercises and teaching me a lot about concussions. I’ve worked with other therapists in the past but these three were the best I’ve worked with. Dr. Brian was excellent, stopping by every day and spent time talking with me even though he was very busy running a new hospital. The entire staff, nurses, nursing assistants, kitchen, and pharmacy were all outstanding. In my 2 weeks there, I was treated like I was the only patient. I would highly recommend this facility. The building is state of the art and the staff is too.
